There are many ways into the psyche, but while there are ways we can access and heal it a little bit, I am not sure we really know about the how the super and subconscious minds work. I am going to give it a try without plagiarizing Dr. Flint’s book (A Theory and Treatment of Your Personality: a manual for change, 2006).
First, to discuss this healing modality I want to give credit to Dr. Garry Flint, Colette Streicher (MAP Institute) and to Rene Hawkens (loveanyway.space), a fellow practitioner. These three helped me to collate and polish my own technique to best support you.
The simple truth is that in life, we have various physical and emotional trauma; it just seems to be what life brings us. Sometimes it’s bad, and sometimes less bad. Our response can be large or small, and we experience the pain, angst, anger or trauma in different ways. The Buddha says life is suffering and the Stoic would say, “Why not me?”
After the traumatic event, we often respond by one of our personality ‘parts’ disassociating from our ‘main’ personality. This part just says, “I’m out, this hurts, see ya” and it’s gone. There is a theory in psychology developed by Richard Schwartz called Internal Family System (IFS) that gives these parts names, like the divine wounded child, protector/controller and the like. Regardless of what we call them, these parts go rogue after trauma. Later, you may experience an event that triggers these parts to come online and act out, This might happen when you date a new person after the last one hurt you so bad and you are freaked by it, thinking the same old thing is going to happen again. Or you are in the military and you see a suspicious debris on the side of the road and react like it is an IED. The hurt part reacts and takes over the main personality, often negatively. We call this ‘acting out’ or a flashback. Perhaps you want to lose weight but part of you wants a cookie, and so the part that wants a cookie wins and you don’t meet your fitness goals. This may be why we find ourselves in the same patterns, or feeling like we are sabotaging ourselves.
Some definitions:
Super conscious mind: true self, higher self, holy spirit, god self, your best self, over-soul, etc.
Subconscious mind: existing in the mind but not immediately available to consciousnesses, the mental activities just below the threshold of consciousness
We have learned, through the work of Garry Flint and others, that we can actually train and speak to the client’s super conscious mind and treat these pain patterns!! Holy Granola. We use an education piece that trains the subconscious and super conscious minds as to what we want to do. Then we speak to the super conscious (SC) like it is a person and show it how to help itself. Then it does and you feel better! The SC can learn to help itself at some point without the need for the practitioner. The client can remind and ask the SC to heal the mind and the main personality, and it does. You can read Dr. Garry Flint’s book and do it yourself!
Although it is nice to work in community if you’re not feeling confident about it. The client can even ‘invoke’ the wisdom of another for assistance in healing (or in business, fitness, or whatever, for reals).
We work with the dissociated parts and invite them back, and they do. We use a metric for the client, asking them to report on a scale from 1-10 (with 10 being the worst) how they are doing, and this number drops during the session, usually permanently. We do this work and speak to the SC through kinesiology or a divination system such as dowsing or internal visualization. I will discuss these methods in another article. The cool things about Quantum Rewiring are that the client can keep things private if they wish, and the treatment works for memories and pain that are NOT part of the current, active experience. It is integrative and clears ALL the threads of experience.
Colette Streicher had a neuroscientist perform an electroencephalogram for a client who was seeing Colette for a distressing phobia. The results indicated serious brain activity during the session. We feel that neural networks are dissolved and developed during sessions. The brain rewires itself and the issue is neutralized.
Having trouble believing this works? I’ll give you a free 30 mins. 🙂
